This action is part of a program to support young people’s social commitment initiated by the Foundation, with the aim of arousing young people’s interest in voluntary and altruistic involvement in various social and humanitarian issues.
Concretely, the Foundation has chosen to achieve this by strengthening the intervention capacities of youth associations with social projects (solidarity movements, associations, etc.) through promotional actions (visibility of associations in the local media: production of video capsules broadcast on TVT, airtime on radio stations and in the Nektar program on TVT, etc.) and symbolic subsidies so that their actions inspire other young people to get involved.
The AENMS association (Aide aux Enfants Nécessiteux en Milieux Scolaire) was awarded this symbolic grant to encourage its social commitment. For the record, the AENMS association (Aide aux Enfants Nécessiteux en Milieux Scolaire) has been committed to providing access to quality education for vulnerable young people in rural areas, particularly in the Plateaux region, for over 5 years. It is run by young people who are convinced that they can pool their know-how, resources and time to help young orphans gain access to school.
This grant will enable them to sponsor enrolment and provide school supplies for more than 10 children in the association’s villages for the start of the 2024-2025 school year.
In accordance with its intervention strategy, the Foundation will follow up to ensure that the grant is used appropriately. Depending on the results, the Foundation may provide further support, such as helping to raise the profile of the association (increasing its visibility nationally and internationally), and putting the association in touch with other players who can support them in other ways.
