Josita Kavege Foundation
The Fondation Josita Kavege was created in remembrance of Josita Kavege.
Josita passed away on October 31st 2006 at the age of 35, from complications following the birth of her third child. Josita added to the statistics when she succumbed to the maternal mortality epidemic. She was a mother of 3 children and an elementary school teacher, caring for many other children.
The foundation’s approach on investing in infrastructure as a means to help solve the problems of high maternal mortality rate and inadequate early childhood education, is anchored in the belief that sustainable and perennial projects will serve generations and contribute to lifting these underserved communities
